New Robelson Charcoal Master
After 3 1/2 years, Robelson is releasing a new version of their popular Charcoal Master series
While browsing the latest news from my favorite makers, I just stumbled upon the the latest blog at Robleson’s (ロベルソン) Everyday Experience diary. The new Charcoal Master (チャコールマスター) will be out in mid February 2011 – this time available in three colors (reddish brown, black and the original cream white with brown accents) to make a better match for the Resion Grip palette. Reservation for this most sought-after topwater rod is already open and I will try to make sure to finally get hand on one of these perfectly crafted rods.
The original Charcoal Master (released in 2007) features a medium-fast rated graphite-glass composite blank with 1/2 – 1 oz lure weight and should offer great versatility paired by the compelling design so typical for Robleson’s products.
As I’m already a proud owner of a white Resion grip and 3601 Maverick reel, I will try everything to make sure that I get the perfect complement to both in early 2011.

With all the joy about the announcement, I might have to rethink wether I should go for the new Charcoal Master or the already released white Grace Core model which feature a slightly narrower lure weight. This requires considered decision-making..
