It’s already the sixth year, that I’m traveling to the area around Córdoba to visit good friend Enrique and of course to fish the beautiful reservoirs of Andalusia. Like every year, when winter blues is at it’s peak, I’m planning and preparing a 10-day trip to kick off the start of a new fishing season.

In recent years I found it more and more difficult to find enough time for my fishing passion, so these trips to Spain are a great chance to spend as much time on the water as possible in such a short amount of time. Thanks to my friend Enrique and his friends and family, I always get the chance to see new reservoirs and to fish more great places up in the hills of the Córdobean province. I’m really thankful that I got such a warm welcome and support during the years.

After we managed to fish up to 7 different reservoirs back in April 2012, I’m looking forward to visit some of my all-time favorites again and of course to go back to some of the waters we newly discovered last year.

There are still 57 days to go until I can finally get on my 3-hour flight to southern Spain, but I’m already more than excited to go back. Thanks to the help of the people at Salta Ríos, I will be able to rent a Wilderness Tarpon again and hope to get some support with applications for special licenses that will allow us to visit some of the more secret and hidden reservoirs in this area. Can’t wait to go.
